How would you complete the sentence?

I am... a mother. This one thing defines me more than any other label in my life. My kids are my soul, my being, my reason for all that I do. They are my gift to the world, and they are the true miracles of my life.

I am... a wife. My husband is my partner in crime, my partner in fun, my partner in life. He makes me a better person, and let's face it... who else would be willing to put up with my crap for 16 years?? Hahaha.

I am... a sister. My brother and sister are a part of my history- they know me in ways no one else ever will. They hold the key to my past, and support the steps I take into the future. They are... me.

I am... a daughter. Angie & Richard's child. A part of each of them. Their (dubious) legacy into the future.

I am... a friend. A damn good one. There is nothing I wouldn't do for the people I call my friends. They are my chosen family. The people I hold dear to my heart. The ones who laugh with me, laugh at me, and pick me up when I fall (often).

I am... a runner. A label I choose voluntarily. One that I hold with great pride. It means that I have chosen to honor the body I live in with effort. It means that I earn my breaths. It means that through the elements, seasons and daily trials, I use my shoes and the trail to get me through all of it.

I am... me. No one else is quite the same. I am a child of God. A product of the love in my life. A small, but sincere being. And for that, I am.. grateful.

    I love this post.

I also really love this thought:

"I have chosen to honor the body I live in with effort."
